MARKING KNIFE: This knife is made by Mikov of the Czech Republic. The blade is 1-7/8 inches long, 1/2 inch wide and 0.060 inch thick. The blade has a dual-bevel spear point tip. The tip is ground to 55 degrees with a 25-degree grind on both bevels. The bevels are precision ground on CNC machines. The blade is made from AISI 420 corrosion resistant stainless steel and hardened and tempered to HRC 57. The dual bevel allows marking in either direction with either right or left hand.
WHEEL MARKING GAUGE: The 1-9/16 inch diameter by 1-3/16 inch tall head is precision machined from solid brass (not plated!). The head has a countersink so the cutter can be fully retracted protecting it when not in use. The wheel cutter is 7/16 inch in diameter. The hardened steel beam is .310 inches in diameter and 8 inches long. Maximum cutting depth is 7 inches. The beam is black chrome plated to protect against corrosion and to allow easier reading of the mm and SAE graduations.
DOVETAIL MARKING JIG: Draw precise and consistent layout lines for hand cut dovetails with this compact solid aluminum dovetail marker. It will mark dovetails in stock up to 1-1/6" inch thick in 1:5 and 1:8 slopes. Jig is precision CNC machined from solid blank of aluminum and then anodized and will never lose settings. Slope markings are photoetched and white filled for easy readability.
